Good Morning. When you think you need to change your routine...

..just spill your protein coffee all over your desk first thing in the morning. Thank goodness I just happened to have one of those super absorbing rags sitting at the base of my monitor--left there when I was dusting and adding a new printer over the weekend. It still made a mess and I have papers spread all about drying out but it could have been worse. Anyway, that's how I've started my morning. A bit of a change in my normal routine and activity level. lol

Today is my day off.  I work 4-10's.  However, I have a mandatory meeting at 7 am with a celebratory "heart healthy" breakfast.  Yuck.  Whole wheat pancakes and fruit.  I can't even eat that!  Ugh!!  I usually order the food for our meetings and since everybody knows I had WLS they are blaming me.  Lol!  But I was sick when this got planned and the new department secretary ordered it.  After that I'm getting a facial!  Got to keep this face in shape; helps hide the wrinkles!  Some house chores and some errands.  I have a book club meeting Thursday and I'm not even 1/4 way through....better get to reading!

Oh please don't eat that crap. Even my normie hubby gained weight and increased his blood sugar on the "heart healthy" diet. Ugh, I hate that "diet". Take a protein coffee and tell them "heart healthy" is a crock or bull cookies. lol

 Thanks!  I have worked hard on my almost 50 lb weight loss I'm not touching that crap.  I had to laugh because the cardiologists I work for wouldn't eat it either.  They tell their patients high protein low carb South Beach style diet is the way to go.  It's the new girl...and she was so proud of herself.

I have a meeting with clients and staff this morning.  Clients are going to do some spring craft project while I break more hard news to the staff about changes.  Yeah, they are still glad to have jobs but it sure is tough when the rules keep getting more and more restrictive and the money keeps decreasing. 

PT this afternoon with a new to me PT.  My guy is on vacation for 2 weeks in Hawaii.  Anyone looking for a new vocation, try PT.  Around here, there are tons of them but they all seem to stay busy and be making a good living.

Hope it didn't get on your keyboard!  I shook up some hot chocolate w/ protein and didn't realize you shouldn't do that - it exploded all over my office - this was right after I had surgery and I'm still finding hot chocolate on things-haha.

I was suppose to go to DD's and watch DGD#2 that is sick, but now DD has it also so she just stayed home with her.  So I am at work today.  I need to finish keying the budget into our account program, get the bank receipts keyed in and work on payroll all before I leave Friday!

Going at lunch to visit at the nursing home since I won't get a chance the rest of the week.  Going out to eat with a couple of friends tonight.

Then I schedule a job interview, got on here, will go to work in 15 min. Work, then come  home and start working on my St. Patrick's Day Cake Pops.

I think cake pops are SO cute but how do you make them all the time without indulging? I find that I won't buy stuff that isn't good for me but if it is around the house it finds its way into my mouth at a week moment. Sometimes even in the middle of the night. Turns out if I take Ambien I sometimes get up, walk around and eat!
I tried making "healthy" muffins for my hubby with zucchini, whole wheat flour and lots of blueberries. I probably picked away at more of them then he actually ate. Won't do that again!

I bring them to work and send them to school with my kids. I bring them to parties. I sometimes put half in the freezer for later too.

But I don't really have a big problem with most of them. A couple of flavors do get me to over indulge, but I'm fine with 1 a day.

I do a lot of substitution to keep the sugar down, too, so one a day isn't a big deal. I also sometimes cut the recipe in half so I'm only making 1-2 dozen instead of 3-4 dozen.
